Microsoft Update Addresses Zero-Day Exploits
This week Microsoft released a series of system patches as part of its regular "Update Tuesday." One of these patches addresses a very serious vulnerability (CVE-2022-21907) that allows attackers to target networked computers and execute code on the system without requiring any permissions.
Baylor-owned Windows-based systems that are impacted by this zero-day vulnerability will be automatically patched within the next 24 hours. If your Windows device prompts you to install updates, please do so immediately.
Microsoft encourages all Windows users to install the updates deployed on Tuesday to patch their devices against this exploit and other potential threats. To maintain the security of your personal Windows devices, you may consider enabling automatic updates so that your operating system is always kept up to date.
