Be #BearAware and Avoid the Anxiety of Public Failure
Every once and a while we realize that celebrities are only human. Whether it is Michael Phelps, Gordon Ramsey or former President Barack Obama getting upset, Chrissy Tiegen feeling a bit nervous, Kim Khardashian crying, or Spiderman looking a bit confused, we all experience intense emotions that are sometimes captured for the world to see. Don’t find yourself angry, frightened, or otherwise upset because you weren’t aware of the most basic cybersecurity guidelines. Be #BearAware and #BeCyberSmart by reviewing the cybersecurity basics below and at staysafeonline.org.
Important Security Enhancements and Training for 2022
Verified Duo Push: To protect our most vital information resources we will soon add another layer of security to Baylor’s Ignite, BearWeb, Microsoft 365, and VPN platforms. When you receive a Duo Push notification from these systems, you will be required to also enter a 6-digit code so that no one accidentally approves a Duo log in request. In addition, the Call Me and SMS options will no longer be available for multifactor authentication through Duo across all platforms. Click here to read more about Verified Duo Push.
SANS Institute Training: For the second year, Baylor will require cybersecurity training from the SANS Institute for all Baylor faculty and staff. Training will open on Monday, October 17, and must be completed by Friday, November 11. Bear ID access will be interrupted for those who do not complete the training until it is completed.
Review and follow these best practices to become more #BearAware, and see all of the Publicity Resources for our 2022 campaign.
